Clive proposed to replace his wife with Dariush Kanani, a very good guitarist with whom he often collaborates and with whom he recently completed a nice tour in Great Britain and Ireland.

Fascinated since the age of 17 years from Bert Jansch's guitar playing, Davey Graham e John Renbourn, Dariush Kanani, he studied and taught with some of the most influential figures in fingerstyle guitar. These include Renbourn himself, Wizz Jones, Stefan Grossman e Clive Carroll. He performed in concerts at the Cecil Sharp House, paying tribute to Davey Graham in 2009 on Renbourn's recommendation, and at the tribute concert after John's death, together with Jacqui McShee, Ralph McTell, Bernard Butler, Graham Coxon and others. Stefan Grossman has chosen Dariush as his personal teaching assistant for his annual guitar workshops in the UK. In April 2019 Dariush was invited to perform at Wizz Jones' 80th birthday concert at Cadogan Hall in London.
