John Jorgenson
John is a great musician, friend of Soave and veteran of our festival. He is known both as an eminent Gypsy Jazz guitarist and Bluegrass mandolinist and for his eclectic electric guitar playing.. which makes his live performances electrifying spectacles. His talent and virtuosity which earned him a “GRAMMY Award” in 2008, “ACM Guitarist of the Year” per tre volte consecutive, inclusion in Guitarist Magazine's "100 Guitar Heroes" and "100 Most Influential Guitarists" and Guitar Player Magazine's "Album of the Year" with the Hellecasters.
In this edition John appears in two different modes:
John Jorgenson Electric Band
which sees John busy on the electric guitar, accompanied by a splendid rhythm section that moves easily between rock, blues, country and many other styles, and is made up of
- Alan Thomson, Scottish bassist who has played in the band since 2002, after having been a member of “John Martyn's Band” for many years, as well as a skilled singer-songwriter. For several years he has been permanently involved band by Martin Barre (ex Jethro Tull).
- Cesare Valbusa, Italian drummer, also with John since 2002, after having been part of the "Rudy Rotta Blues Band" in the 80s.
- Franz Bazzani, skilled Italian pianist and keyboardist, who has also collaborated for a long time with Luca Olivieri and has performed with many artists including Bobby Solo, Bruno Marini, James Burton, Jerry Donahue, Tommy Emmanuel and Johnny Hiland.
